At the 4-star Kräuterhotel Hochzillertal, we are convinced of the unique flavour of our local produce which is why we source lots of ingredients from the local area. We also want to add value to the region through close collaboration with local farmers, food manufacturers and dealers. For this reason, we are proud partners of the ‘Bewusst Tirol’ (Tyrol conscious) initiative and the AMA gastro quality seal.

The ‘Bewusst Tirol’ (Tyrol conscious) initiative run by the state of Tyrol and ‘Agrarmarketing Tirol’ promotes the use of local foods in the hotel and catering industry. The aim is to boost collaboration between the worlds of agriculture and tourism. The label of ‘Bewusst Tirol’ is awarded to participating establishments which are defined by their substantial use of local products. At the same time, the label serves as a guide for guests who value regionality in cuisine. We are proud to be making a contribution to the ‘Bewusst Tirol’ scheme with our Restaurant Liebstöckl.

AMA gastro quality seal

Sustainability and a return to regional products have been increasing in significance in the hotel and catering industry for many years now. As an establishment which has been awarded the AMA gastro quality seal, we inform guests about regional specialities and the origins of our agricultural raw materials in our menu. This increases an awareness of farming traditions and the importance of preserving the cultivated landscape and ensures successful collaboration between the agriculture and gastronomy scenes in Austria. With our AMA gastro quality seal, we are committed to the preparation of fresh foods and do not use any imitation foodstuffs or genetically modified foods, something which is subject to regular testing.
